Position Overview
Gallant Commercial is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and service-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support all facets of the employee lifecycle while ensuring operational excellence across HR functions. This role serves as the primary internal HR resource for payroll administration, recruiting, compliance, employee relations coordination, HR operations, employee recognition, and day-to-day support for leadership and employees.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with strategic initiatives that enhance the employee experience and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Payroll Administration
· Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
· Audit employee time records, pay rates, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
· Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, bonuses, and terminations.
· Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
· Resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining confidentiality.
Professional Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
· Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
· Develop job postings and recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
· Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and facilitate offers.
· Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and improve hiring outcomes.
· Support onboarding to ensure a positive new employee experience.
Compliance & HR Records Management
· Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
· Ensure compliance with I-9, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable employment laws.
· Manage record retention and document control practices.
· Assist with HR audits and reporting requirements.
· Support policy implementation and communicate updates to employees and management.
Employee Relations Coordination
· Serve as the primary liaison between Gallant Commercial employees and the company’s PEO HR representative.
· Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, leave administration, policies, and HR procedures.
· Coordinate employee relations matters with the PEO while partnering with company leadership.
· Assist with workplace investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
· Promote a positive workplace culture built on professionalism, respect, and accountability.
HR Operations
· Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
· Maintain HRIS and employee records with a high level of accuracy.
· Process personnel changes and employment documentation.
· Support performance management, compensation changes, and organizational initiatives.
· Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce data for leadership.
· Assist with policy development and continuous improvement of HR processes.
· Support training initiatives and leadership development programs.
· Participate in special projects that improve HR effectiveness and employee engagement.
Employee Engagement & Recognition
· Coordinate employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements, service milestones, and company values.
· Partner with the employee responsible for company events to support engagement initiatives, celebrations, community involvement, and company functions.
· Assist in planning recognition activities that strengthen Gallant Commercial’s culture.
· Promote employee communication and engagement throughout the organization.
Work Requirements
· Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check
· Be able to provide valid identification for the I-9 Immigration document
· Display a professional and courteous attitude
· Report to work at the designated start time
· Must be willing and able to travel to work sites within region
· Be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary
· Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA
· Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required
· Must have/maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record with a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company standards.
