The Human Resources Generalist will manage and support various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development and compliance with employment laws and regulations.  The HR Generalist will serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR matters and provide guidance and support to both employees and managers.  They also work closely with management to implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall goals of the organization.

    Your Role at a Glance

    • Provide tactical HR support to manufacturing managers and employees while implementing HR programs, policies, and processes
    • Act as a reliable resource for employee relations, offering guidance to managers, supporting issue resolution, and fostering a respectful and compliant workplace environment
    • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with compliance requirements
    • Generate HR reports and support data-driven decision-making
    • Support employee engagement initiatives by facilitating employee roundtables, ensuring all voices are heard and that feedback is thoughtfully addressed by HR and management
    • Drive and support employee engagement initiatives and events that enhance workplace culture, morale, and employee experience
    • Coordinate pre-employment and return-to-work processes, including medical clearances and drug testing
    • Support the full cycle hiring process, including preparing offer letters, and coordinating onboarding activities
    • Partner with management and departments in new hire orientation delivery
    • Administer key employee lifecycle processes such as transfers, promotions, and Skill-Based Development (SBD) elevations, ensuring accuracy and consistency
    • Manage the termination process, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
    • Partner with leaders to coordinate and track performance management activities, including 90-day and 120-day reviews, and reinforce a culture of ongoing feedback and development
    • Process and track tuition reimbursement and wellness program reimbursements
    • Provide administrative support for Workers' Compensation (WC) claims
    • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to reinforce a strong safety culture
    • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures
    • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance through weekly timecard audits and proactive issue resolution
    • Contribute to broader HR initiatives, including benefits administration, compensation processes, and organizational projects, supporting overall business objectives
    • Maintain robust and organized HR systems and records, ensuring data integrity and ease of access

    What Sets You Apart

    • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or comparable field
    • 3-5 years exempt level HR experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting preferred
    • HR Certification desired (PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
    • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Experience supporting employee relations and performance management
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Professional, approachable, and collaborative work style
    • Experience working with an hourly workforce preferred
