What You'll Do as a Human Resources Generalist:- Support recruiting efforts by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding qualified candidates
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding to create a positive employee experience
- Manage employee leave requests, including FMLA, short-term disability, and leaves of absence
- Handle employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data, including new hire setup and employee updates
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, HSA enrollment, and EAP programs
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company communications, and culture-building activities
What You Need to Bring to the Human Resources Generalist Role:- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or related HR role preferred
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations processes
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment #metrocareers
