The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department. The HRG will work closely with the Human Resource/Administrative Manager to learn Andy's Seasoning's culture and serve as a bridge between employees and management. The HRG will assist with managing policies and procedures, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, full cycle recruiting, point of contact for employee relations, and training.Performance Measures – Major Job ObjectivesWhat's ExpectedHuman ResourcesRespond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.Manage the onboarding/offboarding process.Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in Paycor, SharePoint, EASE and Excel, ensuring all employment requirements are met.Maintain employee files for active and terminated employees based on established policies and procedures.Prepare and distribute Late/Absence report daily.Responsible for maintaining the Point System and providing weekly reports to Managers.Assist with converting employee paper files to electronic files utilizing Share Point.Assist and/or process unemployment claims, FMLA, workman's compensation, benefits, and employment verification requests.Manage all recruitment for hourly positions, including updating job listings internally and externally to job boards.Schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.Oversee and coordinate the pre-employment process with all candidates.Work with various employees to develop training, health and safety materials.Produce and submit reports on general HR activity upon request.Support other departments when needed (Customer Service, Front Office, etc.)Front Desk/Reception TasksAssist the Front Office Staff upon request.Answer, screen, and transfer calls on a multi-line phone system.Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize hold time.Take thorough messages, indicating caller name(s), company name, the time and the message in detail.Provide information to callers who have general inquiries.Ensure security measures are taken and the visitor log is completed according to company policy.Pick up and accept delivery of mail and packages when required.Accurately take and distribute phone orders.Provide exceptional service to employees and customers.Food Safety & Quality/Legal RequirementsComply with all food safety, quality, and legal requirements written in each SOP pertaining to job duties.Report any infractions of food safety, quality, or legality to supervisor.Follow personal hygiene practices as documented.Other Job FunctionsHandle additional projects as assigned.Properly maintain confidentiality and dispose of sensitive information.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of HR principles, practices and employment laws.Proficient in Microsoft products.Excellent communication, writing and prioritization skills.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.Must have the ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment.Work as part of a team/be a team player.Ability to work well and professionally internally and externally with a can‑do attitude.Ability to maintain a professional and positive service attitude at all times.EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.ExperienceMust have three (3) years of proven experience in a Human Resources Generalist role. Experience working with Paycor and SharePoint is a plus.Positions SupervisedThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Tools/Equipment/Machines UsedComputer, copy machine, fax machine, laptop, slide projector, postage machine, printer, Nortel phone system.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsNormal office conditions apply. Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, grasp, talk, hear and operate computer keyboard. Job may require reaching at shoulder level and below waist. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds and carry objects. This is a full-time position.
