Position Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Generalist, QSC WJO, serves as the site HR representative for the Quality Steel West Jordan plant. The HR Generalist executes the People & Culture goals in partnership with leaders and team members, supporting business objectives while fostering an environment where employees feel cared for, supported, and valued. This role provides hands-on HR support across employee relations, engagement, staffing, development, benefits, and administrative functions. A strong focus on positive employee relations, partnership, and collaboration is essential to the success of this role. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and team members, identifying and addressing employee needs while reinforcing LT Corp’s purpose, core beliefs, values, and business objectives.
- Provide day-to-day HR support for the QSC West Jordan plant, including staffing, employee relations, engagement, development, attendance, performance management, and other employee-related matters.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the plant, engaging with team members and leaders to understand operational and employee needs, build relationships, and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and workplace culture.
- Guide leaders on employee relations matters, HR policies and procedures, performance management, and effective leadership practices. Identify and help resolve workplace concerns in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
- Support leaders in building team engagement and accountability. Partner with HR Leadership and site leadership to implement programs and strategies that strengthen teamwork and employee engagement.
- Partner with HR Leadership to support the implementation and ongoing administration of HR strategies, processes, tools, systems, and programs that support the culture, vision and business objectives.
- Coordinate and support employee benefits administration, including benefit enrollments, employee questions, qualifying life events, and other benefit-related administrative activities.
- Maintain accurate employee information and support HRIS and other system-related changes, including employee data updates, job or organizational changes, reporting, and other administrative transactions.
- Provide general HR administrative support, including maintaining employee records, preparing HR documentation, processing routine transactions, coordinating communications, and completing other administrative tasks necessary to support effective site operations.
- Provide administrative support to the site and other departments as needed. Responsibilities may include receiving and directing visitors, general inquiries, coordinating materials, and assisting with other day-to-day needs.
- Support the implementation and administration of QSC/ LT Corp policies, programs, and processes while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Partner with the local EHS and site leadership to support health and safety goals, best practices, employee communications, and related programs within the operation.
- Lead by example by demonstrating LT Corp’s “How We Lead” leadership traits and consistently reinforce LT Corp’s purpose, core beliefs, and values.
Experience: - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role or similar work experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with HRIS systems and maintaining accurate employee records preferred.
- Commitment to the highest levels of integrity and establishing credibility, enabling execution and results.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and collaboratively with HR professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, representing ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.
