Role Overview
We are seeking a driven, field-focused HVAC Territory Development Representative to expand our contractor network throughout Florida, beginning along the West Coast. This is a high-activity outside sales role requiring daily face-to-face visits with HVAC contractors, relationship building, lead generation, and disciplined pipeline management.
Core Responsibilities
- Visit 20–30 HVAC contractor locations daily
- Introduce our products, pricing, and dealer program
- Identify owners and purchasing decision-makers
- Collect contractor information including:
- Owner and decision-maker names
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Company size and service territory
- Current equipment brands carried
- Open new dealer accounts
- Generate first-time orders
- Schedule follow-up meetings for the sales team
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects
Travel Requirements
- Daily travel throughout assigned Florida territory
- Occasional overnight travel as expansion continues statewide
Qualifications
Required
- HVAC industry experience preferred
- Experience working for an HVAC contractor, distributor, manufacturer, or related business
- Strong understanding of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Proven sales, business development, or account management experience
- Self-motivated and comfortable with cold visits
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- CRM proficiency
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
- Experience with HVAC distributors such as Johnstone, Baker Distributing, Ferguson, or similar
- Existing contractor relationships in Florida
- Knowledge of the Florida HVAC market
- Experience opening new dealer accounts
