HVAC Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform seasonal maintenance on residential HVAC systems, educate homeowners on necessary repairs or improvements, and handle demand service calls. You will also be part of the on-call schedule, ensuring customers’ needs are met promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning air handling systems, reheat coils, and replacing filters, motors, fans, belts, etc.
• Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and explain repair options to customers in simple, clear terms.
• Assist in repairing and replacing HVAC system components such as controls, thermostats, fans, pumps, compressors, and ductwork.
• Complete service documentation in Service Titan, including repair details, warranties, and fees.
• Perform installations and repairs on refrigerant lines, fans, humidifiers, and other system components.
• Ensure repairs and installations comply with technical and safety standards, adjusting as needed for proper functionality.
• Measure, document, and report on system performance.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities (both internal and external).
• Promote HVAC Membership benefits to customers and convert non-members.
• Meet sales goals and performance targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and truck stock.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• In-depth knowledge of residential HVAC systems and services.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Service Titan.
• Highly organized and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Clean, professional appearance and positive attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC service.
• EPA Certification required.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to wear safety attire, such as goggles and protective clothing.
• Comfortable working in noisy or uncomfortable environments.
• Ability to maneuver tools, components, and materials, including working in high or tight spaces.

PAY

• $50,000 - $90,000 per year
