We are working with a well-respected, tech-forward immigration law firm in Alexandria that is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish speaking) Immigration Associate!

• Location: Alexandria, VA (onsite)
• Base Salary Range: $125k-$160k/year + profit sharing + pension!

Job Details

The Immigration Associate will run their own caseload, client relationships and case strategy, backed by a firm that invests in doing it right. They will work directly with the founding partners, and have the ability to utilize automated technology for case updates and more.

Job Duties:

• Independently manage a full caseload of removal defense and USCIS matters, from intake to resolution.
• Appear at Master Calendar, bond and Individual (merits) hearings.
• Prepare and present cases for asylum, withholding and CAT; cancellation of removal; U visas, T visas, VAWA and SIJS; TPS; adjustment of status; waivers; and family-based petitions.
• Draft briefs, motions to reopen and reconsider, declarations and evidence packets.
• Meet with clients in Spanish and English, and explain high-stakes options clearly and compassionately.

Requirements:

• A law license in good standing in any U.S. state.
• Full fluency in Spanish and English, spoken and written. Most of our clients prefer Spanish.
• 2-5+ years of family-based and humanitarian immigration practice preferred, with substantial Immigration Court experience, including bond and Individual Hearings you've handled yourself. (This is a removal-defense practice, not business immigration)
