Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support plant operations at its Charlotte, NC facility. This role is responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial maintenance experience and a strong understanding of mechanical systems within a manufacturing or food production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the facility
Operate and maintain tools including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and precision maintenance equipment
Work across maintenance trades including:
Welding
Pipefitting
Fabrication
Gearbox and bearing maintenance
Lubrication systems
Pumps and piping systems
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
Modify or build equipment as required
Document maintenance activities using maintenance management software
Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Collaborate with peers and management to drive continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year of industrial maintenance experience
Demonstrated experience in at least 1–2 maintenance trades (mechanical, electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school certification or degree in a maintenance-related field
Military maintenance experience
Experience in food production environments
Experience with precision maintenance (laser alignment, dial indication)
Knowledge of safe work practices such as PJHA and confined space procedures
