Hands-on experience migrating Informatica workflows to IDMC.
Strong understanding of ETL, SQL, and Unix.
Ability to lead a team working on the migration of Informatica PowerCenter workflows to IDMC.
Ability to identify migration issues and compatibility challenges and provide appropriate solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Informatica PowerCenter (PC) and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC/IICS) Developer to support the migration of enterprise data integration solutions from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC. The ideal candidate will have strong ETL development experience, hands-on expertise in both PowerCenter and IDMC services, and experience assessing, migrating, and optimizing ETL workloads in cloud environments.
Analyze existing Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, sessions, and reusable objects for migration to IDMC.
Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and other IDMC services.
Perform end-to-end migration activities from PowerCenter to IDMC, including mapping and workflow assessment, conversion and redevelopment of ETL logic, parameter and configuration migration, validation and reconciliation, and performance optimization.
Review and compare DEV, QA, and PROD environments to identify configuration, parameter, and code differences.
Validate production configurations and dependencies to ensure accurate migration.
Migrate and optimize complex transformations, workflows, task flows, and reusable components.
Work with source and target systems including Oracle, SQL Server, and flat-file integrations.
Troubleshoot migration issues and resolve data quality, performance, and connectivity challenges.
Create migration documentation, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and support teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and production validation.
Analyze Informatica CDI-PC / PowerCenter workflows, mappings, sessions, mapplets, worklets, parameter files, reusable components, and dependency structures.
Assess current-state conversion readiness, identify complexity drivers, and document technical assumptions, gaps, and risks.
Review runtime behaviors, parameterization patterns, file handling logic, source/target connectivity, and transformation-level dependencies.
Analyze B2B service dependencies and EDI-related integration patterns, including awareness of 835/837 file format handling where applicable.
Design and create IDMC / IICS assets corresponding to legacy sessions, mappings, workflows, and runtime configurations.
Create and validate mapping tasks, taskflows, connections, schedules, parameters, and other IDMC assets required for end-to-end migration.
Ensure IDMC implementation aligns with functional intent, source-to-target rules, transformation behavior, scheduling needs, and operational controls.
Drive configuration consistency, naming standards, reusable patterns, and environment migration practices across the conversion workstream.
Provide technical analysis for complex Informatica transformations, including Java transformations, XML transformations, expression/router/lookup/aggregator patterns, and reusable transformation logic.
Understand transformation behavior in IDMC compared with CDI-PC / PowerCenter, including capability differences, conversion constraints, and required redesign patterns.
Identify transformation-specific risks, build IDMC-compatible alternatives, and guide developers on remediation approaches.
Own technical validation for converted assets, including unit testing, system integration testing support, data reconciliation, defect triage, and production-readiness checks.
Create or review Oracle SQL-based validation queries and compare source/target results to confirm conversion accuracy.
Leverage familiarity with Informatica Data Validation Option (DVO) to support repeatable reconciliation and automated validation where applicable.
Review logs, runtime statistics, and failure patterns to troubleshoot issues across CDI-PC, IDMC, database, Unix, and file-handling layers.
Estimate conversion and testing effort based on asset complexity, including number of transformations, workflow dependencies, parameterization, source/target count, B2B/EDI interactions, custom logic, and testing scope.
Break down technical work into actionable tasks and allocate work to team members based on skill, complexity, and delivery priorities.
Track progress, identify blockers early, coordinate with functional teams, and support delivery governance through status inputs and risk communication.
Suggest process improvements and reusable accelerators.
We are looking for an IDMC Tech Lead to drive the technical analysis, design, build, validation, and testing activities for an Informatica CDI-PC to IDMC conversion initiative. The role requires strong hands-on experience across Informatica PowerCenter, CDI-PC, IICS/IDMC, Oracle SQL, and Unix, with the ability to understand asset complexity, estimate effort, allocate work, guide team members, and improve conversion processes.
