Description

Position Summary:
  • Provide dedicated cybersecurity support for the Department of the Navy Special Access Program (DON SAP) IT program.
  • Monitor, assess, and maintain security controls to ensure systems strictly comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) and technical teams to integrate robust security measures into enterprise systems.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of RMF documentation, artifacts, and security policies to safeguard all system components.
  • Partner with engineering teams to assess, integrate, and guide security controls during system design and implementation phases.
  • Monitor system security posture continuously to evaluate control effectiveness and ensure adherence to applicable standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses and recommend effective mitigations.
  • Manage authorization and accreditation processes while ensuring all system architectures and information types are accurately documented.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (such as Security+ CE or CAP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of dedicated cybersecurity work experience (equivalent to or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree).
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise with Nessus (ACAS), Splunk, STIGs, SCAP tools, and large-scale enterprise IT programs.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ITILv4 Foundation certification, ServiceNow experience, eMASS or Xacta proficiency, and DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification (such as CISSP or CISM).
