Inside Sales Representative Supervisor

SUMMARY: SATO America is seeking a motivated and customer focused Inside Sales Representative Lead to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing inbound inquiries, supporting the field sales team through proactive customer engagement and serving as the on-site dotted-line supervisor for all subordinate Inside Sales reps. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions to our clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise inside sales team members, maintaining positive culture, leadership to help achieve targeted Salesforce metrics and support conflict resolution as needed.
• Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify, qualify, and nurture prospective clients through outbound calling, email campaigns, and CRM activity.
• Performance Metrics: Achieve or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) including call volume, revenue targets, custom media quotes, printer quotes, record updates and lead conversion rates.
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand needs and present appropriate SATO solutions.
• Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce or similar CRM system.
• Achieve targeted metrics in calls, custom media quotes, record updates and printer quotes.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with field sales, marketing, customer service, and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experience and alignment on sales strategies.
• Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth understanding of SATO's products, services, and competitive differentiators to effectively communicate value propositions.
• Quoting & Order Support: Prepare customer quotes and assist with order processing, ensuring timely follow-up and accuracy.
• Assist in training new inside sales reps and providing on-site supervision and assistance for typical duties associated with the role.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an inside sales or customer-facing role, preferably in manufacturing, industrial sectors, or technology. Experience in B2B technical sales
• Knowledge of barcode/RFID printing, labeling technologies and familiarity with SATO's product offerings and vertical markets (e.g., healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, retail) a plus
• Customer-focused mindset with a consultative sales approach
• Proven and sustained track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus)
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative mindset; Bilingual speaker (Spanish) a strong plus.
• Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational abilities

SATO contributes approximately 75% to the cost of employees' health insurance coverage along with 100% company paid Life & AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and a pre-tax Health Savings Account with an employer contribution of $500.00 or $1,000.00 depending on elected medical coverage.
