Inside Sales Technical Engineer

Position Overview

The Technical Support Center (TSC) Engineer serves as the technical backbone of the Neugart USA sales process. This entry- to early-career role is ideal for a technically minded new graduate or early professional who is passionate about motion control, industrial automation, and customer problem-solving. The TSC Engineer works alongside Regional Sales Managers and customers to select the right gearbox solutions, resolve technical inquiries, and deliver product training — making a direct impact on customer satisfaction and sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•    Support the quotation process through technical product selection, gearbox sizing, and application-based recommendations

•    Provide technical product support and consultation to customers, distributors, Regional Sales Managers, and internal teams

•    Analyze customer application requirements and utilize Neugart sizing and selection tools to recommend appropriate gearbox solutions

•    Review customer specifications and assist with product selection and application guidance

•    Support customers and Regional Sales Managers in resolving gearbox-related technical issues and product inquiries

•    Conduct product training and technical presentations for customers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders

•    Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support customer projects, technical inquiries, and application requirements

•    Attend trade shows, customer events, and occasional on-site customer visits

Qualifications — Required

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related technical field

•    Strong technical aptitude with genuine interest in industrial automation, machinery, and motion control applications

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage professionally with customers and internal teams

•    Self-starter with a proactive mindset — comfortable working independently and collaboratively

•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

•    Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, training events, and customer visits

Qualifications — Preferred

•    Previous experience in technical sales, engineering support, automation, or industrial products (internships and co-op programs count)

•    Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems

•    Exposure to motion control, robotics, or precision drive technology

What We Offer

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with education and experience

•    Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage

•    Structured product training and professional development support from day one

•    Clear career growth pathway within the technical sales and applications engineering function

•    A collaborative team culture that values precision, curiosity, and customer focus

•    Exposure to cutting-edge gearbox and motion control technology used globally
