Instructional Designer

Compensation

Based on qualifications. Scheduled work up to 29hours/week; paid twice monthly

Responsibilities

·Create engaginglearning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention andtransfer 

·Work with subject matterexperts and identify target audience’s training needs

·State instructionalend goals and create content that matches them

·Visualizeinstructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product

·Conduct instructionalresearch and analysis on learners and contexts

·Apply testedinstructional design theories, practice and methods

·Provide exercises andactivities that enhance the learning process

·Create supportingmaterial/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)

·Decide on the criteriaused to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments

·Maintain projectdocumentation and course folders

Requirements

·Proven workingexperience in instructional design and with instructional technology

·Excellent knowledge oflearning theories and instructional design models

·Lesson and curriculumplanning skills

·Solid knowledge ofcourse development software and at least one Learning Management System

·Ability to writeeffective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts

·BS or MA degree ininstructional design, educational technology or similar
