Phil Pettit State Farm Insurance has been serving customers in Albuquerque since 1999. We are looking for an Insurance Account Representative who enjoys working with people, solving problems and helping customers make informed decisions about their insurance coverage.

This is an in-office position for someone who wants to become a valued part of an established local agency and build long-term relationships with customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Talk with customers about their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage
  
• Assist customers with Auto, Home, Renters, Life, Business and other insurance products
  
• Respond to questions about policies, coverage, billing and policy changes
  
• Follow up with customers and prospective customers
  
• Identify opportunities to provide additional protection when appropriate
  
• Schedule and conduct customer appointments
  
• Develop new business through leads, referrals and customer relationships
  
• Provide dependable, professional service throughout the customer experience
  
• Work toward individual and agency sales and service goals

What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who are professional, dependable, motivated and comfortable talking with customers.

You should have:

• An active New Mexico Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain one
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• A customer-first approach
  
• Good organization and follow-through
  
• The ability to manage multiple customer needs in a busy office
  
• A willingness to learn and develop your insurance knowledge

Insurance experience is preferred, but we're also interested in candidates with transferable experience in areas such as:

• Insurance
  
• Customer service
  
• Retail sales
  
• Inside sales
  
• Financial services
  
• Account management
  
• Other customer-facing positions

Additional qualifications that are a plus:

• Life & Health insurance license or willingness to obtain one
  
• Previous insurance agency experience
  
• Experience working toward sales or performance goals
  
• English/Spanish bilingual skills
