We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Insurance Sales Representative to join our team. This position is focused on building relationships with prospective and existing customers, identifying insurance needs, and recommending appropriate products and coverage options. The ideal candidate is confident communicating with customers, comfortable asking for the sale, and motivated by achieving individual and team goals. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, consistent follow-up, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new business by connecting with prospective customers through phone, email, referrals, leads, and other outreach opportunities.
Build relationships with customers to understand their insurance and financial protection needs.
Provide insurance quotes and explain available products, coverage options, discounts, and services.
Recommend appropriate insurance solutions based on individual customer needs.
Follow up consistently with leads, prospects, and quoted customers to convert opportunities into new business.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional insurance products to existing customers.
Conduct account conversations to identify coverage gaps and additional protection opportunities.
Educate customers on insurance products and services so they can make informed decisions.
Meet or exceed individual and team sales, production, activity, and conversion goals.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of leads, customer interactions, quotes, follow-ups, and sales activities in the CRM system.
Provide a professional and positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Collaborate with service team members and other departments to ensure a smooth transition from new business to ongoing account servicing.
Stay current on insurance products, company policies, underwriting guidelines, industry regulations, and product updates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous sales, customer service, insurance, or financial services experience preferred.
Insurance sales experience is a plus.
Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable making outbound calls, following up with leads, overcoming objections, and asking for the sale.
Self-motivated with the ability to work toward individual and team performance goals.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain all required insurance licenses.
