Overview:
The Nursing Internship Level II is designed for nursing students in their final semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program. The Nurse Intern Level II is a member of the patient care team whose primary responsibilities are providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (as permitted by state law). The Nursing Intern Level II reports to a designated nurse of the health care team, works in conjunction with other team members, and may perform housekeeping duties, and clerical duties as required. The responsibilities and requirements for the Nursing Intern Level II may be customized to meet the needs of the specialized area.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Specific course work: Candidates must have worked as a Nurse Intern I for at least 90 days & be eligible for graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing within 120 days (documentation required).

Required Licensure/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer into the position, and then annually, is required for Psych Unit.

Necessary Skills:
1. Knowledge of Regulatory Agency Standards (e.g., JCAHO, HRS), nursing Standards and

3. Understanding of medical terminology.
