Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a busy Interventional Radiology department specializing in body IR procedures. The IR Technologist will assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures, maintain procedural workflow, and ensure high standards of patient care and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong procedural knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Interventional Radiology physicians during body IR procedures by scrubbing and supporting procedural activities
- Prepare and pull supplies, instruments, and equipment for scheduled IR cases
- Ensure procedure rooms are properly prepared and maintained for patient care activities
- Complete procedural documentation and required paperwork accurately and timely
- Support patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure efficient procedural workflow
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any operational concerns appropriately
- Deliver compassionate and professional patient care throughout all phases of procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous Interventional Radiology experience required
- Experience scrubbing body IR procedures preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, procedural workflow, and patient safety standards required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current ARRT Certification required at time of submission
- Current BLS Certification through AHA or American Red Cross required at time of submission
- Active Ohio license required
