LHH has partnered with a high-growth technology company that is looking to add a remote Inventory Accounting Manager to their team. This is a newly created role to help build up their inventory accounting processes and optimize their existing ERP.Best suited for candidates comfortable with a fast-paced environment where you'll be part of setting up the company's accounting & finance infrastructure + systems. Great visibility with leadership and strong ability for progression. This job is remote with frequent travel - ~50% domestic and international. Preference for candidates on Eastern Standard Time.ResponsibilitiesOversee all inventory accounting activities, including costing, valuation, landed cost components, freight, duties, variances, write‑offs, and inventory adjustments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with GAAP.Own the inventory subledger and ensure seamless integration with the general ledger, maintaining complete and accurate financial records across all inventory‑related accounts.Lead the month‑end close for inventory and COGS, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reporting packages to support timely and accurate financial results.Analyze inventory activity and operational data, including in‑transit goods, consignment inventory, open PO commitments, demand forecasts, and margin drivers to provide actionable insights to leadership.Enhance and document inventory accounting processes, implementing automation, refining policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement in reporting efficiency and data accuracy.Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A to ensure alignment between operational activities and accounting outcomes, enabling better forecasting, cost visibility, and financial decision‑making.Support internal and external audits, preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations tied to inventory, COGS, and related financial statement disclosures.Oversee physical inventory and cycle count processes, validating results, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely posting and proper accounting treatment.Evaluate and improve cost accounting practices, including job costing, inventory valuation, and compliance with manufacturing or defense‑related accounting standards when applicable.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field, advanced degrees/CPA preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within technology, manufacturing, aerospace/defense, or other high‑growth operational environments, including at least 3 years of dedicated inventory or cost accounting experience.Expertise in GAAP and inventory valuation principles, including standard costing, landed cost analysis, and COGS accounting.Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, with strong Excel skills and comfort analyzing large data sets.Experience in high‑growth or manufacturing environments, with hands‑on exposure to process improvement, automation initiatives, and scaling accounting operations.IFRS experience nice to haveStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of interpreting operational data and translating findings into meaningful financial insights.Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across finance, operations, and supply chain.Benefits OverviewBenefit offerings for full‑time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k planPersonal Time Off (PTO) is Unlimited, 10 Paid Holidays, and up to 16 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (1+ years of employment)Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performanceInitial equity offeringFor immediate consideration, please send your resume to sawyer.ballard@lhh.com.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
