This role is integral to the daily operations of the firm's intellectual property practice, requiring a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.Location: Dallas, TXSchedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible) | 1‑hour unpaid lunchWork Model: Primarily in‑office with 1 remote day per weekClassification: Full‑Time | Non‑Exempt (hourly)Overtime: Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend overtime may be requiredKey ResponsibilitiesAnalyze incoming correspondence related to the prosecution of intellectual property rights and enter pertinent data and deadlines into the docketing databasePrepare docketing reports for attorneys; research and respond to docket‑related questions; ensure full docket clearance dailyPerform legal support tasks and collaborate with attorneys, staff, and firm departments to complete daily assignmentsProcess, organize, and track assigned attorneys' travel itineraries, expense reports, reimbursements, and check requestsOpen new matters, interface with firm clients and vendors, and maintain positive ongoing business relationshipsEnter attorney time regularly and assist with client billing mattersQualificationsRequiredU.S. patent prosecution knowledgeHigh level of accuracy with ability to perform in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environmentSelf‑starter who can anticipate needs, identify problems, find solutions, and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionExcellent organization, time management, and written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in docketing database, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, and a document management system such as iManageRegular, consistent, and punctual attendanceAbility to work occasional overtime (early mornings, evenings, or weekends) as neededWillingness to participate in ongoing internal and external IP law and docketing trainingPreferred (Not Required)Foreign patent prosecution knowledgeTrademark prosecution knowledgeJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
