Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to lead the migration of a critical on-premise application to Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for cloud architecture, software development, automation, performance optimization, and operational excellence throughout the modernization journey.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, modern application architecture, and enterprise software development. This individual will partner with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to design scalable cloud-native solutions while mentoring development teams and driving cloud adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Develop and modernize enterprise applications using Java, Angular, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and microservices architectures.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and development standards.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling to accelerate software delivery and improve deployment reliability.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, including Terraform, to automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and management.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments to improve performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and system reliability.
• Develop solutions supporting disaster recovery, backup management, operational administration, and business continuity requirements.
• Implement security controls, identity and access management policies, encryption standards, and cloud security best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, operations teams, and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
• Document technical architectures, workflows, system capabilities, and implementation roadmaps.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of overall Information Technology experience, including enterprise application development and software engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with a focus on Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Current Microsoft Azure certifications required.
• 8+ years of experience developing applications using Java, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Angular, and scalable microservices architectures.
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or equivalent DevOps platforms.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance management tools such as Datadog.
• Strong knowledge of application security, identity management, encryption, and cloud governance best practices.
• Experience working with SQL, Hibernate, RESTful services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting Single Page Applications (SPAs) and micro-frontend architectures.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven cloud architectures.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives within enterprise environments.
• Exposure to security frameworks, compliance programs, and cloud governance initiatives.
• Background serving as a technical lead, project lead, or solution architect on complex software delivery projects.
• Experience collaborating across infrastructure, security, DevOps, and application development teams.
