We partner with Dallas-Fort Worth oil and gas operators, from independent upstream producers to privately held and PE-backed energy companies, on their accounting and finance hiring. Our clients run operated and non-operated portfolios and need people who keep partner billing clean and close on time. We recruit for this role on a rolling basis, so applying puts you in front of several hiring teams in the Dallas energy market, not just one.

Job Details

What you’ll do
Prepare monthly joint interest billings and cash calls for working interest partners
Bill AFE-based costs and reconcile AFE budgets to actuals
Respond to partner inquiries, disputes and JIB audit requests
Code and review AP invoices to wells, properties and cost centers
Reconcile JIB receivables and clear aged partner balances
Update billing for ownership changes and division of interest decks
Support month-end close, accruals and property accounting schedules

What you bring
2+ years of JIB, joint venture or oil and gas accounting
Working knowledge of working interest, AFEs, COPAS and operating agreements
Strong Excel (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
Experience with an energy accounting system such as Quorum, P2, Enertia or an ERP like JD Edwards or SAP
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
