Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while working in a dynamic marketing environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the month-end close process.

This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Support monthly and year-end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Help prepare financial reports and internal schedules
  • Support audits by gathering documentation and performing basic analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and expense tracking
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress)
  • 1-2 years of accounting or relevant internship experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or experience in marketing, media, or professional services industries
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero)
  • Exposure to project-based accounting or client billing
