Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing Boston-based organization, for a Junior Office Associate to join their administrative team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to build a strong foundation in office operations, customer support, and organizational skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
Day to day, you will be the friendly face and reliable hands that keep the office running smoothly, from greeting visitors and managing correspondence to supporting scheduling and basic recordkeeping. People who thrive in this role are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable juggling several small tasks at once, all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude toward coworkers and clients alike.
Responsibilities
Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner
Sort, distribute, and prepare outgoing mail and packages
Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and paper records
Schedule appointments and coordinate meeting room bookings
Order and track office supplies and equipment
Assist with data entry and basic report preparation
Support other departments with administrative tasks as needed
Prepare correspondence, memos, and simple documents
Help coordinate office events and maintain common areas
Assist with onboarding paperwork for new hires
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or some college coursework preferred
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Comfortable with routine data entry and recordkeeping
Professional demeanor and reliable attendance
Willingness to learn new office systems and procedures
Prior internship or office experience a plus but not required
