Birmingham Public Schools is seeking Kindergarten teachers for Pierce and Quarton Elementary Schools.
These are full time, 10-month positions.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Early Childhood Educators to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the foundational years of our youngest learners.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an active ZN (Early Childhood) or ZS (Early Childhood Special Education) endorsement required.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum, and instructional best practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an innate ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proven competency in student management, supervision, and creating positive behavioral interventions.
- A demonstrated ability to build strong, empathetic interpersonal relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
- A deep-seated passion and unwavering commitment to improving learning outcomes and educational equity for all students.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and lift or carry to 50 lbs.
