Position Overview
Legacy Staffing is seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook on behalf of a residential care facility serving adults in a residential treatment setting. This position is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, maintaining kitchen sanitation standards, and creating a welcoming dining experience for residents.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food preparation, understand the importance of cleanliness and safety, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that supports individuals in residential care.

- Monday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals are prepared and presented in a respectful, caring, and professional manner.
- Monitor food quality and maintain consistency in meal preparation.
- Assist with meal planning and food inventory as needed.
Kitchen Sanitation & Safety
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
- Clean workstations, food preparation areas, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety standards and infection control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Residential Support
- Interact respectfully with residents and staff.
- Support a positive, home-like environment within the facility.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members to meet residents' needs.
Team Participation
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Follow organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in cooking, food service, kitchen operations, housekeeping, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Ability to pass a health screening, drug screen and background check/live scan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
