About the Role:
Another Broken Egg Cafe in Brandywine, MD is looking for a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen operations including food prep, line cooking, and plating to ensure quality and consistency
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing BOH team
• Monitor food costs, control waste, and manage inventory ordering and receiving
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
• Collaborate with management to develop and execute seasonal menu items and specials
• Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
• Drive ticket times and kitchen efficiency during high-volume breakfast and brunch service

Requirements:

• 2+ years of kitchen management or sous chef experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse kitchen team
• Experience with food cost management, inventory control, and ordering
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a hands-on leadership style
• Passion for breakfast/brunch cuisine and delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience
