Summary

Broadridge is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer with approximately 15+ years of experience designing and building large-scale cloud solutions. This individual will provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in architecture, design, and software development. The ideal candidate is passionate about modern cloud technologies, engineering excellence, and mentoring teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of cloud-native applications and distributed systems on AWS.

  • Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, driving architecture, design decisions, and engineering best practices.

  • Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.

  • Drive modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, containerization (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes), microservices, and distributed systems.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ), and event-driven architectures.

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud security, and application performance.

  • Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives while remaining hands-on with design and development.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Professional Certification(s).

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.

  • Experience leading cloud modernization and enterprise platform initiatives.

Salary Range: 200,000.00 - 220,000.00 USD annual
