Lead SuperintendentOur client is a Design-Build General Contractor in Ohio who operates in multiple verticals but leading large Data Center Projects local to Columbus. They are looking for a strong Lead Superintendent with large project experience who is looking to lead complex projects and develop with their resources and expertise. The company is offering extremely competitive compensation along with a great company culture with a strong family feel.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent is required to:Perform all functions with honesty and integrity.Liaison with owners/ architects/ engineers for the day-to-day construction activities of the project.Develop and implement overall project work schedules identifying the critical path including the expediting of scheduled critical materials and equipment for their timely delivery to site.Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.Develop and manage the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with Ascension standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.Manage and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.Oversee work among all trades to promote and coordinate project operations.Resolve local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor, and equipment schedules.Manage labor relations with subcontractors.Implement, review and approve mock-ups and associated testing.Assist with maintaining project budget.Assist in the billing process as it relates to Work-In-Place (WIP) and overseeing the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices and subcontractor payment applications.Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.Work with project staff on design changes.Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.May be required to facilitate meetings and or take meeting notes.Assume additional responsibilities as directed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Superintendent will need:5 or more years experience as a lead Superintendent responsible for leading large project sites in one or more of the following areas: Hyperscale Datacenters, Complex Industrial Projects, or Large Scale Vertical ConstructionMust be able to apply effective management techniques to maximize project performance.Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is essential.Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.Must have previous experience managing construction projects on large, complex and on multiple projects, scheduling and maintaining financial control of the project.4-year engineering, construction management degree is preferred but not requiredWhat's on OfferThe Superintendent will be offered:Very competitive salaries $125,000 - $150,000 base salaryAnnual BonusesCell Phone Reimbursement401k planExcellent health benefitsReport directly to the Director of Construction, CEO, and COOAll local work in the Columbus metro area - NO travel requiredMentorship opportunitiesJob SummarySector: ConstructionSub Sector: Site ManagerIndustry: PropertyLocation: ColumbusContract Type: Permanent
