The Department of Biological Sciences at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting either January 1 or August 1, 2027. The teaching load is the equivalent of 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework each semester (fall and spring) and may include evening, weekend, off-site, or online courses. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the introductory biology sequence (including labs), high demand courses such as introductory physiology, and will have the opportunity to teach upper-level undergraduate classes in the candidate's area of expertise. Lecturers are expected to participate in service activities to the department, school, campus, or community, such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the department. Some courses taught may be offered in the evenings, off-site, and/or online. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. This position does not carry any expectations for a research program or publications.
