Description

Our client, a private investment firm located in downtown Chicago, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team. This role supports the General Counsel of one of the city's largest private investment companies and will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks. Your day to day will consist of drafting correspondence, expense accounting, and maintaining meticulous files on permitting, sales, and vendor contracts, which requires a strong eye for detail and excellent multitasking skills. The ideal candidate will have at least four (4) years' administrative experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office.Please note that this role requires an in-person presence in downtown Chicago five (5) days per week. Our client is invested in making this presence worth your while and reimburses commuting costs.Responsibilities:Coordinate with management to maintain files and ensure governmental complianceOversee approval and payment for all invoices, tax assessments, vendor agreements, and insurance premiumsProcess real estate purchases, sale contracts, commission agreements, and credit receipt depositsAssist with the execution and maintenance of various legal documentsCoordinate calendar meetings and conference calls with staff, consultants and outside counselDraft reservation and transfer letters, various addendums to credit sales, and general correspondence such as letters, memos, and presentationsProvide additional administrative support as neededRequirements:Minimum of 5+ years' administrative experience required, ideally out of legal or professional servicesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Earth, and bill payment softwareMeticulous attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at onceProactive and responsive work ethicExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEagerness to assess processes and develop and implement solutions to streamline office operationsSalary:$65K - $73K + bonusBenefits:Commuting reimbursement, 100% employer-paid medical, profit sharing, pension benefits, generous PTO and holiday policy, 8:30-4:30pm/ no OTSeniority level:Not ApplicableEmployment type:Full-timeJob function:Administrative | Industries: Investment Management and Financial Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
