Alston & Bird LLP is looking for an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support the firm's attorneys in the Financial Services Groups in our Dallas office.ResponsibilitiesSupport attorneys with contracts, M&A, and financial services matters, including transactions related to payment methods, REITs, securities offerings, SEC reporting, and corporate governance.Perform court filings, type and revise correspondence, memoranda, documents, timesheets, and project work.Proofread and ensure quality of all legal documents.Manage telephone and mail distribution.Coordinate and plan events and travel arrangements.Maintain files and documents.Required ExperienceGeneral office procedures and filing techniques.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge of transactional/corporate and financial processes and procedures.Ability to work with a wide spectrum of individuals.Heavy administrative work experience.Case and project management experience.Typing, editing, and proofreading legal correspondence.Electronic filing experience.Answering telephones and sorting mail.Coordinating travel arrangements.Client interaction and file maintenance.Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.Skills Needed to be SuccessfulExceptional administrative and word‑processing skills.Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time constraints.Great attention to detail and concentration.Independent work and problem‑solving in complex situations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong work ethic.Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors.Working knowledge and prior experience with e‑filing procedures.Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.Equal Opportunity EmployerAlston & Bird LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
