The Gaming Commission is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and organized Program Assistant to support the Community Affairs Division. This role involves a variety of administrative and developmental tasks related to the Community Mitigation Fund Grant Program. The Program Assistant will also assist with organizing and supporting meetings of the Gaming Policy Advisory Subcommittees, including agenda preparation, assembling meeting materials, and minute-taking.ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate meetings with community members andPrepare communications including memos, emails, reports, and other correspondenceLearn and utilize the database system for the Community Mitigation FundSchedule, attend, and take minutes at Gaming Policy Advisory ("GPAC") Subcommittee meetings and other meetings as needed (some in-state travel may be required)Collect, manage, and maintain filing systems for documentation and information associated with the Community Mitigation Fund and GPAC subcommitteesParticipate as a member of the Community Mitigation Fund review teamCollaborate in developing annual guidelines, standard forms, and tracking processes for Community Mitigation Fund programsRequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent preferred3–5 years of experience in a legal secretarial, paralegal, administrative, executive assistant, or project management support role; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with grant program administration highly desirableProven ability to coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent proofreading, oral, and written communication skillsProficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and similar project management toolsStrong research skills and ability to learn new computer systems and databases quicklyAbility to initiate organizational strategies to achieve goalsSuccessful completion of comprehensive background checks including credit check, CORI, drug screening, and fingerprintingSeniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionLegalIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting#J-18808-Ljbffr
