LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Chicago law firm to identify a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their team in a hybrid capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through all phases of case management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
Reformat pleadings, briefs, and other legal filings
Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and deadlines
Coordinate preparation and filing of pleadings and briefs in Federal, State, and Appellate Courts
Handle service of process and coordinate with local counsel
Organize and maintain electronic case files
Prioritize and manage multiple matters and projects simultaneously
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience in a law firm environment
Experience with e-filing in Federal and State Courts and Courts of Appeals
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and principles
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to review legal documents for accuracy

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 - $85,000, based on experience and qualifications
