Legal Assistant Location: Inner Loop Allen Parkway – Houston, TX
Position Overview We are seeking a Legal Assistant to support a busy team of attorneys (one partner) within our litigation practice.
Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and litigation support
Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and filings
Coordinate court filings (electronic and in?person) and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain organized case files, calendars, and docketing information
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Assist with billing, time entry, and general administrative tasks
Collaborate with the team paralegal and participate in workflow processes that offer ongoing learning
Qualifications Prior at least one year of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary (civil litigation preferred)
Construction litigation experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
High attention to detail and a proactive, team?oriented mindset
Motivated and organized individual
