Description
One of New Jersey’s top-ranked law firms is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support its litigation department. This role involves various administrative duties essential to the smooth operation of the department.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience, including a background in litigation. A strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are critical for success.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate work assignments and manage litigation-related tasks.
Prepare and format legal correspondence and documents with precision.
Transcribe digital dictation and organize files and records efficiently.
Perform e-filing in New Jersey and New York courts (preferred).
Interact professionally and effectively with attorneys and clients.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a legal assistant role, including litigation support.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF tools.
Organizational Skills:
Proven ability to manage and maintain accurate records and files.
Exceptional organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism in correspondence.
E-Filing Expertise:
Experience with e-filing systems in New Jersey and New York is highly preferred.
