A mid-size Chicago law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join our team in our St. Louis office (St. Charles county). The Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys in our St. Louis office, providing essential support for case management and administrative functions. Responsibilities include drafting and filing court documents, proofreading motions and orders, coordinating hearing dates, and handling general case management tasks. This role demands excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent law firm experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years in an office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with legal research databases (PACER, LexisNexis, Pohlman, Westlaw).
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
• Previous experience in insurance defense or asbestos litigation.
The ideal candidate will:
$52,500-$65,000 (DOE)
