At State of the Heart Recovery, the Dispensing Nurse plays a critical role in supporting clients receiving medication-assisted treatment through our Opioid Treatment Program. This position is responsible for the safe, accurate, and compassionate dispensing of methadone and other approved medications, monitoring client response, and maintaining complete and compliant medical documentation.
The Dispensing Nurse works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Physician, and Clinical Program Director to ensure medication protocols are followed, regulatory requirements are met, and clients receive respectful, professional care. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with electronic health record systems, and a commitment to confidentiality and patient safety.
State of the Heart Recovery provides evidence-based, compassionate care for individuals in recovery. As a Dispensing Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary medical and clinical team dedicated to safety, dignity, and high-quality treatment delivery.
You will work in a structured clinical environment that values collaboration, accuracy, and professional growth, with training provided on specialized systems and medication protocols unique to opioid treatment services.
