Job DescriptionOur Cooks @ Magnolia Glen provide the highest quality/presentation food to our residents, guests, and associates, to promote an excellent restaurant-style dining atmosphere.Part Time Friday - Monday (varied hours - dining closes by 8:30pm)(25-28 hours weekly)Pay Rate $19.50/hr- $21.50/hr (depending on experience)Paid Vacation / 401K/ Free Meal each shiftWhat will I do every day?* Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine* Cook according to menus, production sheet and recipes with consideration* Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner* Deliver all invoices to Dining Services Director in a timely fashion* Maintain records or meals served and records of food and supplies used as requiredQualifications and Skills:Education/Experience:* High school graduate preferred* Minimum 5 years of cooking experience requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed* Ability to fully support kitchen brigade associates* Demonstrates understanding of Mise en Place through proper placement and preparation of ingredientsSpecial Requirements/Certifications:* Must have Food Handler's certification as required or being willing to obtain one.What's in it for me?* Competitive pay* Continuous Training and Growth Opportunities* A free meal per shift* Matching 401k* Paid Time Off* Rewards and Bonus OpportunitiesWhat do we do?We create a great place to live for our residents and a great place to work for our associates.
