Line Cook – The Landing Zone (Jefferson City, MO)

The Landing Zone is hiring a dependable, hard-working Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you'll play a key role in delivering the quality and consistency our guests count on — preparing dishes to spec, keeping your station sharp, and helping the kitchen run at full speed during a busy service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items accurately and consistently to recipe specs.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your station before, during, and after service.
• Work a specific station (grill, sauté, fry, pantry, etc.) and support other stations as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with the expo, servers, and fellow cooks to keep tickets moving.
• Monitor food quality and portion sizes on every plate that leaves the line.
• Assist with prep work, receiving deliveries, and closing duties.

Requirements:

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required — we'll train the right person.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Team-first attitude and strong communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Handler's certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation:
