- Tuesdays - Thursdays: 2pm - 10pm
- Fridays: 2pm - 11pm
- Saturdays: 12pm-11pm
- Sundays: 12pm-10pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a Line Cook to join the team at as the busy season approaches. In this position, you will be responsible for sending out dishes in a timely and coordinated manner. The ideal candidate is experienced in the kitchen, likes to work hard in a fun work environment, and committed to creating an excellent experience for patrons. If you have a passion for cooking and being in the kitchen we want to hear from you.
LOVECRAFT is a locally owned restaurant. Our menu combines New Mexican inspired cuisine with Texas style smoked meats, our dishes are a unique twist on the ordinary. We take pride in our food and cook most of everything from scratch. Our menu offers simple dishes like tacos, sliders, and enchiladas, to more elaborate dishes like smoked prime rib, green chile lobster bisque soup, and hand-breaded fried chicken. Our team is fun, friendly, and welcoming.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
- Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
- Take pride in plating and executing
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members
- Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
- MIse en Place (we love organization!)
- Participate in the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning activities for a safe and sanitary kitchen
- Performs other duties as assigned by the kitchen management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and availability.
