The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a skilled and dependable PM Line Cook to join our culinary team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working evening service, takes pride in preparing high-quality food, and works well as part of a busy, professional kitchen.
The ideal candidate has previous line cook experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized and focused during fast-paced service. Prior experience in a hotel, upscale restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen is preferred.
Status: Full Time
Typical Hours: 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Pay: Starting at $21 per hour, based on experience
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and guest expectations.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Work closely with the culinary team to support smooth and timely service during busy periods.
- Set up, stock, and maintain the line before, during, and after service.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and storage standards.
- Assist with product rotation, freshness checks, inventory needs, and special dietary requests.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
- Communicate professionally with cooks, chefs, stewards, and service team members.

Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience required.
- Hotel, upscale dining, banquet, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong culinary skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary education is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to bend, reach, move quickly, and safely perform kitchen duties during service.
