Line Cook
The Line Cook works efficiently, safely and quickly producing high-quality food and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Line Cook maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares quality food according to standardized recipes.
- Maintains a clean, safe facility that fall in line with local Health Department Regulations.
- Adheres to portions and preparation guidelines for cost effectiveness.
- Takes care of guests needs and food orders/specifications with immediacy and accuracy.
- Ensures compliance with Health Department codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience cooking in a restaurant environment preferred.
- Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a scratch kitchen.
- Strong verbal communication skills, and customer service-related skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
- Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
