Job Description
Job Summary
Nationally recognized midsized law firm in downtown Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its growing Litigation Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated business and commercial real estate disputes while gaining substantial courtroom and litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handle complex business and commercial real estate litigation matters.
Draft and argue motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
Take and defend depositions.
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
Collaborate with partners and clients throughout all phases of litigation.
Manage case files from inception through resolution.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Bar admission in Maryland (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation and/or commercial real estate disputes.
Federal and state court litigation experience.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience with motions practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
