Plaintiff's Litigation Secretary

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid/Onsite options available)

LHH is working with a well-established plaintiff-side firm looking to add an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a Senior Partner. This is a great opportunity to be hands-on with interesting cases while working closely with firm leadership in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day support to a Partner and one Associate

  • Draft, edit, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents

  • Keep a busy calendar on track (court deadlines, depos, client meetings, etc.)

  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and mediations

  • Handle e-filing in state and federal courts

  • Keep case files organized and up to date

  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

  • Stay on top of deadlines and help keep cases moving forward

What They're Looking For

  • 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience (plaintiff-side preferred)

  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills

  • Experience managing litigation calendars and deadlines

  • Comfortable with e-filing and court procedures

  • Someone proactive who can jump in and support a busy Partner

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $58,000-$65,000
