What Youll Need to Succeed:
- Proficiency in all major cardiac surgeries, including CABG with EVH, endoscopic radial harvesting, valve repairs and replacements, aneurysm repair, thoracic surgeries, lung resection, and ventricular assist devices
- Experience with arterial line insertion and management
- Ability to efficiently handle 1-3 surgeries per day in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of adult cardiac surgery protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in a cardiothoracic surgery setting
- Experience with on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass surgeries
- Familiarity with hospital-based procedures and postoperative care
- Multilingual abilities or additional certifications in related procedures
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher
- Minimum of 2+ years of cardiovascular surgery experience
- Prior locum or temporary positions highly desirable
Additional Requirements:
- Must undergo credentialing (estimated 3-4 months)
- Will require hospital privileges
- Ability to travel and provide flights, lodging, and transportation information in advance
- Will be involved in hospital call schedule, including nights and weekends
