    POSITION: LPN- Medical Surgical (6800)


    SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
    ===============================
    " Shift hours/Contract Length: 7p-7a, 13 weeks

    " Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

    " Charting: EPIC experience required

    " RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission

    " Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

    " Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

    " Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

    " Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Locals accepted for LPN's at *** less.


    REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
    ===================================
    " Pending License Accepted: No, Must have an active New York Single State LPN license. (NY is not Compact)

    " Required Certifications: BLS


    REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
    ========================
    " Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN; Acute Care exp within the last 2 years

    " Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Start/maintaining IVs

    " High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Trach care/management

    " Feeding tube care/management, Heparin Protocols, Pacemakers/Temp/Perm, Telemetry-on the unit monitoring

    " Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains


    UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

    " Ratios: 1:5 6

    " Unit Details: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients

    " Floating: Will be required to float within skillset

    " Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
