    Maintenance Safety Coordinator

    Indianapolis, IN, United States | req31563 1st Shift, 08:00am- 04:30pm Monday-Friday

    What you will enjoy doing*

    • You will partner closely with the Safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure maintenance programs, inspections, and corrective actions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
    • Moreover you will organize, schedule, and complete safety-related program tasks, preventive maintenance work orders, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and continuous plant operations
    • Further, you will support maintenance efforts including troubleshooting, repair coordination, installation, modification, and upkeep of emergency response equipment and systems
    • A large portion of your scope will be focused on conducting mandatory tests and inspections while ensuring corrective actions are properly documented, tracked, and completed for any identified findings
    • You will manage and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS (MaintainX) and plant-specific spreadsheets, ensuring maintenance records, schedules, timelines, inspection results, and findings are properly recorded and maintained
    • Further you will communicate maintenance schedules, repair timelines, inspection requirements, and completion updates with cross-functional departments including Production, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance
    • Additionally you will partner with external contractors for specialized maintenance and safety inspections, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company-specific safety standards
    • Lastly you will oversee the plant''s specialty and universal waste processes, working closely with the EHS team to ensure proper handling, storage, documentation, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements

    What makes you great

    • A High School diploma or GED is required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred
    • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, or coordination experience

    Experience reading and understanding mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred

    • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a CMMS database is preferred
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and with external vendors
    • Ability to work occasional weekend coverage or flexible scheduling as needed
