Maintenance Scheduler/Dispatcher

**Location: **Radford, VA 24143

**Duration: **12+ months (High likelihood of extension)

Shift: 6AM – 4PM (Monday to Thursday, 40 hours a week)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Dispatcher to coordinate maintenance service requests, maintain accurate records, and communicate with technicians to address reported maintenance issues. This role involves receiving calls, gathering relevant information, entering service requests into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and contacting the appropriate technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive phone calls from individuals reporting maintenance issues and gather the necessary information.
• Enter maintenance request details accurately into Maximo, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Contact the appropriate maintenance technicians to respond to reported issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance service requests.
• Communicate clearly with requestors and technicians to support maintenance service coordination.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of database work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent writing skills, including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of scheduling experience.
• Two or more years of experience using a maintenance management system.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair trades, including electrical, instrumentation, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
