    Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire, Full-Time)

    University Circle – Cleveland, OH

    Brighton Solutions is partnering with a busy industrial facility in the University Circle area of Cleveland to hire a Maintenance Technician who knows how to keep equipment running and production moving. This is a direct hire, full-time role with steady work, modern equipment, and a team that values skilled trades.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, conveyors, dryers, and plant equipment

    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automated production issues to reduce downtime

    • Work with motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and lubrication systems

    • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase motors and motor controls

    • Fabricate, weld, and install parts as needed

    • Work closely with engineering, supervisors, and production to keep operations running safely

    What You Bring

    • 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

    • Strong mechanical skills with hands-on troubleshooting ability

    • Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (preferred)

    • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of repairs

    • Safety-first mindset and pride in quality work

    Skills & Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

    • Solid communication skills and team attitude

    • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or holidays when needed

    Physical & Work Conditions

    • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

    • Comfortable working around noise, heat/cold, heights, and confined spaces

    • Must have own hand tools and wear steel-toe safety shoes

    • Able to climb ladders and work throughout the plant

    Brighton Solutions is partnering with a high-volume operations facility to hire a Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping equipment/machines and plant services readily available, in proper operating condition, and ensuring the minimization of machine breakdowns and down time.

    Duties:

    • Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on laundry processing equipment, conveyors, and other mechanical needs in the facility.
    • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment.
    • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair as required.
    • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Managers/Supervisors, Production Staff and Outside Vendors regarding projects and repair problems.
    • Fabricate and weld machining parts.
    • Must be able to work with dryer, angle grinder, and needle scaler.
    • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
    • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Experience/Knowledge:

    • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Two years minimum Industrial maintenance experience with automated equipment.
    • Must be able to work with 3 phase motor controllers, read schematic, troubleshoot PLC's, (Inventor).
    • Strong Mechanics of gears, bearings, lubrication rolls, power generated motor removal to repair or refurbish.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
    • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
    • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
    • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move40 pounds.

    Working Conditions:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold.
    • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
    • Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.

    Working Requirements:

    • Must have own tools.
    • Steel toe safety shoes are required.
    • Must be physically able to work in confined areas, work in high areas of the plant, climb ladders, and workwith all climate conditions due to outside temperatures.
